EX St.Helens Leyland PD2 fleet no 29 RDJ729 returned from Victoria B.C
For preservation after giving 30 years further service with Grayline Tours of Victoria.
It was one of eight Ex St helens Buses shipped to B.C in 1974 where it was to rejoin Fleet nos 176-179 and 28-31.
On its return journey to the UK,the bus was towed to the port of Victoria where it was then transported by bardge to Vancouver at Vancouver it was then towed to Timberland road, Surrey,B.C where it was then loaded onto a TTX rail car for transportation by rail to the Port of Montreal Cast Terminal where it was then loaded onto a 40ft flatrack CAXU517567 then shipped to the Port of Liverpool aboard THE CAST PREMIER VESSEL.Our thanks go out to Fraser Simm ENG Mngr at Grayline Tours Canada,Eugene Fenton at Aquamar Shipping Vancouver Highly recomended,Richard at FWD Freight services Liverpool and Finaly Johnsons of Banks Recovery ,Southport.
